Pendant Amboina Spinel

For this pendant I ground a spinel into an oval-cylindrical shape. Then I made the top slightly concave and rounded the edge. Last but not least, the stone is polished and a wooden pendant made to match. Amboina burl seemed to me to be a good choice because of the contrast, to the almost colorless spinel, the grain and deep red color of the wood come into their own.
 Please note that this is a handmade, unique item made from natural materials, so it may contain bumps, inclusions or similar imperfections in nature.
